Wearing out the refresh button

This was posted over 11 years ago; my opinions, thoughts, attitude, and writing style may have evolved since then, and this post might have been different if it were to be posted today.

Been going back and forth with a girl on eHarmony the past few days; I was really drawn to her smile when she first appeared in my matches, and after going through the guided communication steps it seems that we both share some of the same interests/goals. Yesterday was when the guided communication steps finished and it prompted me to send a freeform message, so I reached out to her about possibly meeting up in the next week or so to get to know her better, and since then I’ve been checking my email often for a reply.

I have to admit feeling a little intimidated with her being a few years older than me (not much, 35 vs. 32), but she’s also a lawyer and has a doctorate. Not that I have anything against either, but because of those and how attractive she is, I almost feel like she’s outside of my league, which worries me.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained, I suppose.

!! Just got a reply! Now to see what it says…

Looks like I’ll have a lunch or coffee date in the near future. 🙂
