#4975 – decent day

This was posted over 18 years ago; my opinions, thoughts, attitude, and writing style may have evolved since then, and this post might have been different if it were to be posted today.

today wasn’t too bad:

  • we found out at work that our bonus multiplier is going to be 170% of our bonus targets — not as good as last year’s (193%), but not bad either! now i know what sort of budget i have for planning the new computer i want to get with it.
  • i got a nice reply back from a customer who was thankful for me finding good ways to save their school district some money
  • i got two cupcakes for free at work
  • had my first day of class today, and the professor is just like what the ratemyprofessor.com site said he’d be like — nice guy, gets off on a few tangents but ties them into his lecture, and seems to be pretty easygoing.
  • someone asked me in class tonight how much longer i have for school and i surprised even myself when i said “after this semester? only 3 classes!”

    i wish i had more time, though… there’s a lot of stuff that’s happened recently that i want to write about, but either i’ve been not in a writing mood or i haven’t had time to write. there’s a lot of recent things i’ve been finding online that i’ve wanted to read, too, but again i don’t really have the time to sit down and read through them and so they all just end up piling up for me to tackle later.

    tomorrow i need to wear my suit to work… i’m going to get to meet the CEO of verizon wireless when he gives a presentation about our 4th quarter results, and since it’s going to be webcast across the company nationwide i might as well look nice for it.
