#4298 – NYE

This was posted over 19 years ago; my opinions, thoughts, attitude, and writing style may have evolved since then, and this post might have been different if it were to be posted today.

i’ve got no idea what to do for new year’s eve. any suggestions for the DC/baltimore area? i found a list of “free and cheap” events in dc on washingtonpost.com, and so far the winner of the chuckles is:

WONDERLAND DJ Meistro (funk, hip-hop, dance) and guests; French champagne specials and a Miller High Life toast at midnight. $10 ($15 couples). 1111 Kenyon St. NW; 202-232-5263.

YESSSS MILLER HIGH LIFE TOAST AT MIDNIGHT!! YESSSSSSSS!!

and if you haven’t figured out, the subject refers of course to New Year’s Eve, and is not a reference to someone else.

bruno_boy: I mean, I don’t have anything against your idea… I was just wondering why it appealed to you so much

bruno_boy: is it the Miller thing?

me: i just thought it was chuckles

me: and i just realized why they’re using miller high life

me: another place is using it also

me: because: miller high life is the “champagne of beers”

me: i had almost wrote that it’s the “champagne of bears”, and that would have been funnier

me: drunken bears, bahahahahah
