This was posted over 19 years ago; my opinions, thoughts, attitude, and writing style may have evolved since then, and this post might have been different if it were to be posted today.
oh! i forgot to mention – when i was at work on my lunch break, i got to see this unfold live over the tv in our cafeteria. you’d think when there’s a dozen police cars after you, AND a helicopter or two, you’d think that it’s about time to give up and throw in the towel*. not this guy. i didn’t get to see the end of the standoff since i had to go back to work shortly after they spun the car out on a ramp. at least now i know what happened in the end.
* that is, unless you’re the blues brothers
