This was posted over 24 years ago; my opinions, thoughts, attitude, and writing style may have evolved since then, and this post might have been different if it were to be posted today.
just called my temp agency about how i’ve come down with a virus and therefore i’m not going into work for a few days
temp agency: “a few days?! what’s going on?”
explained it all…
temp agency: “…well, can you provide a doctor’s note?”
i tell them yeah, and they say we’ll take this a day at a time and i’ll have to call in tomorrow to see if i’m feeling bad enough to work on wednesday.
it’s probably just me, but i think they sounded a bit disbelieving over the phone when i told them all about what i’ve got… ^^;
