Tea season

It seems to take me forever to get used to dressing for the colder Fall temperatures. Well, not quite; I enjoy it when the weather’s cold enough to consistently wear my hoodie because it’s so comfortable (seriously, get yourself an American Giant hoodie), but I can’t seem to consistently dress warmly for all hours of the day until it’s too cold to avoid doing so.

On the other hand, now that it’s turned cold enough to drink hot tea on the regular, I am so looking forward to endless cups of Twinings’ Earl Grey during daytime hours and Nightly Calm before bed.

Flus and booze

Got my flu shot yesterday. Though I had been meaning to get one I had been putting it off; at my old job they had medical staff come in the office to give free shots to anyone who wanted one and I hadn’t yet found a convenient pharmacy where I could stop in to get vaccinated. Then I saw this:

Flu shots with booze?? Sign me up! It turned out that One Medical Group was having a flu shot happy hour where you could stop in and not only get vaccinated, but you could also get some beer and/or wine and light snacks and mingle in their waiting area as well. I’ve got to say that two beers + two turkey and swiss sandwiches + one brownie + fun conversation + a flu shot = the most fun I’ve had getting a flu shot so far. It kind of made me glad that I had put it off thus far, hahaha.
