This was posted over 17 years ago; my opinions, thoughts, attitude, and writing style may have evolved since then, and this post might have been different if it were to be posted today.
i was fixing up my website’s DNS record with a subdomain to point back to my home computer (should i need to access it from elsewhere and back to my mac isn’t an option, or if i wanted to use istat and see what my computer’s up to while i’m at work), but i couldn’t think of a good subdomain to use.
eventually i settled on “sloopjohnb”, because “i wanna go home”, bahahah…
of course, probably only spelchec and troutman will appreciate this post. 😛 haha
