last week i was late to work on two consecutive days, and i kicked myself for not leaving the house earlier. plus, it was raining. it’s not like there was an accident or anything along the way, folks just slowed down and stopped on route 32 for no reason, just before fort meade. grr.

today my supervisor had a quick talk with me about those two latenesses since that brought my whole total of late days for the year (anything 5 minutes 1 second or more = late), which meant now i’m on a verbal warning for the next 3 months. four latenesses = verbal warning, six = written, 8 = final written, and then you get the boot. those two days put me at 5 days for the year. i wouldn’t really mind since it’s so close to the end of the year, except i was late again this morning (again, because of traffic on route 32 slowing and stopping for no apparent reason other than volume), which really sucks, since that puts me up at a written warning now. lame. looks like early bedtimes for the foreseeable future.

last night i cleared my entire email inbox out, so now it’s nice to be at “inbox zero”. i spent tonight going through a bunch of bookmarks and articles i wanted to read. almost 200 of them! tomorrow i’ll have to make time to go through my snail mail — i saw stueypark sent me a christmas card the other day! 🙂
