what am i still doing up? more to the point, why are mom and anne still up and watching “monk” on tv?

didn’t really do much today. futzed around with (ha, os x spellcheck isn’t marking “futzed” as being spelled incorrectly) my iphone and getting it to have my email set up properly… i realized the other day that emails i sent from it were using my glenn.fitzpatrick@gmail.com address instead of my glenn@glennfitzpatrick.com address, and worked to figure out how to get it fixed correctly.

got an email from my motoring advisor today saying that he did receive my voicemail from a day or so ago, and that the check for payment for my old MINI is being held for me at the dealership. i emailed him back to say that i saw that my estimated delivery date is 8/2/2008, and that it might sound a little silly but since my birthday was the next day i was hoping i could take delivery of it that same day. he said that might be pretty unlikely since they don’t take delivery on saturdays (uh, ok), and it takes a day or two for their technician to make sure things are all ok on the car, but he’ll get it to me as soon as he can. i checked the owner’s lounge again this evening and now it says the estimated delivery date is friday, 8/1/2008! so perhaps it got to the dealership a little early?

went with festive to the annapolis mall so i could return some pants i bought online from the gap that were too big for me, and then we went into dc to meet up with cynicalscribe for dinner at nando’s, at their first location in the united states here in dc. while we waited for carrie to arrive, we stopped in h&m and urban outfitters and poked around, and i bought myself a holga at urban outfitters since i had wanted one for a while. ate at nando’s, walked around, went to american apparel, stopped in starbucks, and then came back home.

oof, i’ve got a headache. i think it’s time for bed.
