Laboratory Exercise 4: Physics/Chemistry — Nuclear Fission
Nuclear fission chain reactions provide the heat in nuclear power plants and the force that is released in nuclear bombs. In this experiment we will see how chain reactions work.
1. Conduct the experiment “Chain Reaction” on page 111 of our textbook, “Laboratory Manual for Conceptual Physical Science.”
2. Prepare a report on your project from your individual perspective. Remember to use the report form available in the module. Answer the questions in the textbook.
3. Submit this report to your Assignments folder in WebTycho for NSCI 101.
