This was posted over 19 years ago; my opinions, thoughts, attitude, and writing style may have evolved since then, and this post might have been different if it were to be posted today.
even though comcast told us the other day that they had a shortage of the hi-def dvr boxes (all we got when they installed it was the hi-def set-top box), i called in today to add to the movie channels and ask about the waiting list i was supposedly on, and they said “oh, well just go to the rockville office and swap it out for the dvr model”. so i did.
woo movies, and woo being able to record them!
