This was posted over 20 years ago; my opinions, thoughts, attitude, and writing style may have evolved since then, and this post might have been different if it were to be posted today.
at work we’re doing one of these “secret santa” things… i wasn’t really interested in participating until the jar of names was thrust on me. i don’t really mind looking for stuff for my “victim” (haha), and i don’t really want to be a party-pooper, but i just don’t know what to say that i would like to have (everybody so far has said “gift certificates”, how unoriginal :P)… for 3-4 days we give our target “small tokens” (i’ve got no idea what i ought to do for that) and then we share the gifts at our department’s party.
