so yesterday in class my professor says that he’s decided to drop the two worst homeworks we have – yay! i remembered to do my homework today, though, har har.

i bought ilife ’05 at the bookstore (along with my schoolbooks) the other day – FINALLY i can design a book about my travelling adventures exactly how i had hoped all along! now with iphoto i can do double-sided pages (i was able to do that with ofoto too, but not as many other features), better layouts, and i think it’s actually cheaper, too! the one i was designing in ofoto came out to be something like $150, while this one that i’ve got set up came out to be about $100 even with ~$20 for tax and shipping.

i found out last night that someone is working on a program to do exactly what i had been looking for to convert hdtv video transport streams, and when i expressed interest they said that they can let me help test it out.

for some reason when i went to bed last night i had the idea that my store was back to opening at 10 with us coming in at 8 am. so, i set my alarm for 7:30 and went to bed. 7:30 comes by and i wake up and then realize that the store opens at 9 and that i was scheduled to be at work at 7 am. oops! XD; further complicating things while getting ready (i figured i’d tell them the truth how i thought i was scheduled to come in at 8) i started to pass out a few times while i was getting ready… got dizzy and had trouble seeing – i had to stumble up the stairs from the basement where i was ironing to the den to sit down and have a glass of water. i made it to work at 7:45, and the only other person i saw was another customer care rep who i confided in about my predicament. the consensus was “i won’t tell if you won’t”, haha. i got to work right away in the back, and didn’t see the store manager who opened up until about 8 am. apparently he was so busy with his stuff up front i guess he thought i was in the back office the entire time working away, because 1. he asked me later what time i was scheduled to leave and he was the one who said “3:30, right?” – i just replied “i think so…” – and 2. he told me later that he was too busy to count the phones this morning and would i please count them for him? from 9 am – 11 am when the other ccr’s started to come in we were pretty slow with only a few customers, so i worked on paperwork up front, and then once the other reps started to come in then i took my stuff to the back office to finish up and count the phones in inventory. these construction workers had been fixing the roof of the shopping center, so all day long we heard them running around on our roof and been making all sorts of noise, and the entire store REEKED of tar. ugh. the tar even started to leak into the inventory room through a hole in the roof that was uncovered by the workers, but luckily it dripped right into a trash can… they were shoveling away the gravel on the roof and replacing the roofing materials, and so while i was in the inventory room i would hear bits and pieces of whatever it was they were shoveling fall through the holes.

i had my interview today for the inventory control specialist position, and the manager said that he wanted to do it before i left at 3:30, so once my interview ended at 3:30 i went home otherwise it’d look suspicious. i worked through lunch too, so it’s not like i really missed out on a ton of time, but part of that was because i was so involved with my work and the smell of tar killed my appetite. 😛

my eye has been bothering me all day, like i have a loose eyelash or something. it’s really annoying.

i came home and got my book finished, i just need to get some availaible funds so i can order it.

i need to mail out my school transcript tomorrow for my tuition – i had called the tuition reimbursement people and the guy i spoke with said that the reason why my tuition was held up was because they were waiting on my grades from this past fall, and the whole bit about application #490338 was most likely just a mistake in their paperwork.

tomorrow i also have class 4:30 – 7:00, and then who knows after that? maybe i should go out somewhere… but where? and i’d need someone or someones to go out with… hell, maybe i should try to find a copy of “time out” magazine for dc…
