this morning i woke up around 9, and after showering and grabbing my gear i got up to mini of towson just after 10 for breakfast with a bunch of other mini cooper owners. one girl in the club is getting rid of her ’05 cooper w/ cvt for an ’06 jcw cooper s – luckyyy~! i was able to also get a copy of this dvd where someone had a camera mounted to their mini when they did a run on the dragon, and it’s pretty neat to watch them take the curves.
after that i rolled down into hampden where i hit up atomic books to get a ticket to something going on tomorrow, and then headed to annapolis.
grandaddy was visiting the house at the time so i visited with him a little bit and then the family and i went into baltimore for the o’s game, where the o’s were doing some clobbering on the blue jays: we batted through the entire lineup in the first inning! i mean, just look at this box score!
good ol’ danny cabrera pitched a complete game shut-out, too! for a guy with his control issues, that’s amazing!
i also took this picture of the family before the game, and while the family looks perfectly fine, everyone else around us is looking particularly wacky:
from practicing voodoo, to napping, to stuffing paper up their nose, and even chomping down on a hot dog, it’s just bizarre!
i have to say, though, this is probably my most favorite photo of the day:
click that photo and look at the large or the original size, the quality and detail is amazing and my timing to get the busted bat in there is great too. there’s a few others in there too, i might do them as a separate post to feature them once i add them to the appropriate pools/sets i have.
came back home afterwards and watched “uhf” twice; once through, and then again with the commentary. i mostly worked on editing/uploading my pictures, so i didn’t really pay that much attention to the movie, but since i’d seen it before and had also seen it recently as well it wasn’t that necessary for me to pay attention.
now, i’m going to crash on the couch here and tomorrow i’ll have to head home, shower and change clothes, bring back the baseball ticket for tuesday’s game so dad can head there from work (that’ll be a fun game for photos, 7 rows behind the visitor’s on-deck circle!), and then head up into baltimore for a photo safari.
