insert long string of obsenities

my computer’s big ‘ol hard drive – this 45 gig one i bought about a year ago or so – has died.

it still spins up. the computer just doesn’t know it’s there. >_< at first the computer started acting sluggish, then it froze when starting up, and then it was able to see the drive was there, but it told me that the drive was / needed to be initialized. now it doesn't show up at all. opening up a disk utility causes that utility to unexpectedly quit. >_< and i wanted to be killing other people in quake right now instead of killing my computer. bah, and just when we started to get along, too... 😛
