got a letter from southwest in the mail today. i didn’t get the job. and it seemed pretty fast how i got a reply from them too. 😛

so, yet again my job is to look for a job. no staying up until 3 am. no sleeping until noon. i called the temp agencies today and they said if they found something they’d give me a call. 😛 you’d think there’d me some work to be done if you sign up with THREE DIFFERENT TEMP AGENCIES GRRRRR…………

so, tomorrow (well, today) i need to call up the temp agencies and tell them to start looking for long-term assignments for me now that i know i won’t be working with southwest. i also need to call up places like the bookstore at umbc (they say that if you work full-time as staff or faculty then you get 100% of your tuition paid for, which would really really help… thing is you have to work for a year or two before that happens…) and see if they’ll let me have my job back full-time with giant sacks of money as payment. if the sacks of money aren’t fat enough, then i need to go and fix up my resume to give to my aunt so she can give it to people she knows that work for the state here in annapolis to see if i can work with them. and i need to talk to an advisor at umbc to see what my plan should be for getting back into school. if i don’t live on campus, it’s about $5000 for both fall and spring semesters. so, then i could live here at home (blech) and get myself a $5000 car instead of paying that for room and board and get myself to school and back. because if i have a car, then i can get myself to and from work, and then i can get myself to and from school. so guess what i’m saving up for now? (no 100 gig hard drives for me, hehe ^_^;)

and since my job is now looking for a job, mom complained tonight that i’ve been spending too much time on the computer. which is why i’ve got that there comic up at the top. i tell ya, the outside world doesn’t have as compelling of a feature-set as virtual worlds do. ~_^ besides, i’m learning things when i’m on here. i research all sorts of computer info and news and technologies when i’m on here… ^^;;

maybe i ought to go talk to a career counselor at umbc. i’m not sure exactly what it is that i want to do, or if information systems is what i think it is. i’m still a bit confused as to what “information systems” really IS. 😛

at least the day after tomorrow (thursday) i’ll either be going to see evelyn (yay! even though this is looking less and less like it’s going to happen… so i’ll have to come and visit ya some other time ^_^;;), or i’ll be going to ocean city with susan and betsy and their friend jen and some other people which’ll be fun too, or else. ~_^
