I grew tired of my old site so I deleted everything and started fresh. I had been on the fence for a while about whether I wanted to stick with WordPress, or if I wanted to use a similar blogging service like Tumblr. I ended up sticking with WordPress since I was able to get it to play nice with my directory structure I’ve had for ages, and if I wanted any of the other blogging services to host from my personal domain (e.g. http://glennfitzpatrick.com rather than http://gfitzp.tumblr.com) it was going to be more trouble than it’d be worth and it’d break the links I’ve made to self-hosted images across the Internet.

I also thought about doing a new site design even though I really liked my hand-coded HTML5 and CSS3-compliant newspaper-themed theme. I thought that it could probably be made up to look much better, but I could just never get around to coding. I stumbled across this PressWork theme and not only was it exactly what I was looking for, it was super-easy to edit too.

I’m hoping to update this blog a bit more regularly than I have in the past. We’ll see how long that promise lasts.
